It is forbidden to use confetti in the area or games like mölkky or pétanque
There is water around the castle near the entrance, and it is not fenced off in the area where the ceremony will take place. A barrier is set up since we’ll be in the garden for the vin d'honneur (cocktail reception). However, please keep a close watch on your children and never leave them unattended.

Information

Pont du Château – Ceremony

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony.
Free parking is available directly in front of the city hall.
The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes.
Group photos will be taken afterward.
Transfer to the castle (about 35 minutes from Pont du Château).

If you need transportation, let us know—we’ll be happy to arrange a carpool for you!

Castle of the Martinanches – Reception & Accomodation

Parking is available on the left side upon arrival, on the grass.
Ceremony laïque will be held on the right side from the parking in the forrest in front of the castle (there is a green gate)
After your arrival, please take your seat at the bench with others
Toilets are during vin d’honneur at the place of Metairie and during dinner behind seating chart downstairs
If you have a small baby, La Loge, located next to the dining room, is available for feeding and changing.

Families with children are welcome to bring mattresses and sleeping bags so the little ones can rest in the upstairs room, allowing parents to enjoy the evening a bit longer.
On-site accommodation at the castle is now fully booked, but we have a list of nearby places to stay. More details are available here
You can also bring your tent and sleep there

Brunch will be served on Sunday 6th July around 11:00.

We kindly ask everyone to check out by 12:00 from accommodation at the castle
We can stay at the castle till 18:00

Dress code

No strict colour palette! Our decorations are in green and natural tones, with Petra adding a touch of black – so don’t be afraid to wear touch of black too! 🤘🏻

If you own cool boots (especially Dr. Martens), bring them! We’ll get some awesome photos!

The Ghost-Free Zone

Just a friendly reminder: our wedding is a ghost-free zone! Please steer clear of white clothing so we can actually see you and not confuse you with the floating décor.

GIFTS

Our household is already so equipped that even our toaster has better functions than we do! So if you want our honeymoon to be just as cool, you can donate to our trip to Iceland. Maybe we can take a selfie with lost reindeer there or even hunt a whale with Petra’s camera or Kevin’s iPhone!

OUR STORY

Our journey began in 2005 at an unexpected place – a shooting range in Děčín during the European Shooting Championship. Kevin was just 14, and Petra was 16. What first caught her attention about Kevin? It was his big eyes and the way he signed the results sheet—it stuck with her. Kevin kept trying to lure her into the woods for a kiss, but to her, he was still just a kid, so she didn’t take it seriously.

We crossed paths again in 2007, this time at a European championship in Germany. By then, Kevin had improved his English, and our conversations flowed more smoothly. As we parted ways, he promised that one day he would visit Petra in the Czech Republic.

It took a few years, but in 2014, Kevin finally wrote to her, asking if he could come visit. We met in Prague during summer, and within those three days, we both knew something special was happening. It was the beginning of something beautiful. That Christmas, Petra visited Kevin in France for the first time and met his family. Even though she later left for Finland for six months, Kevin didn’t hesitate and visited her there. After her return, it was clear: Kevin was the one. So, she packed her bags and moved to France.

Early months weren’t easy as Petra had to learn French, but we made it through. We adopted a bunny named Lily and a dog named Pixel, and then came the greatest joy of all—our son Logan, who was born at the end of 2020.

Kevin’s proposal took her completely by surprise at a Green Day concert. She was a bit annoyed at first, wondering why Kevin was pulling her away from their spot near the stage! Then he started telling her all nice things and bend the knee for a nanosecond. When she realized what was happening, all her annoyance vanished. The proposal was quick and shy. And the emotions that followed? They were overwhelming!

Now, we’re ready to write the next chapter of our story.
